How To Become A Better Blogger

I have been spending my time studying on how to be a better blogger.
I am writing this quick post mostly as a tool for me. I need a place to keep all this information together. But I hope you can find it useful as well.
Here are the blogs I am spending a lot of time on. I also listen to their podcasts when they are available.

Domains for Under $5

If you are looking to add some domains to your portfolio now may be the time.  1&1 is offering .com, .net, and .org domains for just $4.99 for the first year.  Info domains are just .99

What I really like about 1&1 is that they include private domain registration with every domain, something that costs extra at some of the other popular domain registrars.

Check to see if your $4.99 domain is available!

The offer is only good through the end of November 2010, so act quickly to get the best domains at the best price!

If in addition to your cheap domain you need hosting, 1&1 has also got some great prices on hosting accounts.

Revenue Sharing Sites

Here is a list of sites where you can post your articles, summaries and more. I plan on adding to it as I find more sites.  All of the sites listed l provide some form of revenue sharing and all are  good sources for backlinks. Please let me know if you know of any other revenue sharing sites and I will add them to the list!

Unlike the other sites,  Bukisa pays for page views as opposed to ad clicks.  This is great if you are good at generating traffic, and/or you have a topic that doesn’t convert to clicks well. Also, unlike the other sites, Bukisa pays directly to your PayPal account so you don’t need to wait for Google’s $100 payout threashold.
Bukisa is a good place to start blogging for money because you don’t need an adsense account and you don’t even need your own blog. You can literally get started for free.

Xomba is a revenue sharing site where you can post original articles, or you can “bookmark” links to sites that you like.

Hubpages has a nice revenue split of 60/40 and in addition to Adsense you can also earn commissions with Amazon and Ebay.

SheToldMe is a site where you can post original content, or you can post “sccops”.  Scoops are basically bookmarks to sites you find interesting.  Yours or anybody elses.  SheToldMe is nice in that instead of having a split, one of the adblocks on the page is 100% yours. You get credit for all the clicks.

Best Reviewer is a new addition from the creator of SheToldMe. Here you create original “best of” articles in a list format. Like SheToldMe you get one adblock that is always showing your ads.

YouSayToo is a revenue sharing site with both Adsense and Amazon.  They have a handy little tool where you can automatically have your blog posts show up on YouSayToo.

Blog Engage is a little different from the others in that it is more of a bookkmarking site and you are only supposed to add your own sites. Other users can then vote you up or down.   Blog Engage is a 50/50 Adsense revenue site, but with a little effort there is a way where your posts can show your Adsense ID 100% of the time.
